Pixel Rush’s Apple rejection: age rating and the advertising flow

The real case

Our Pixel Rush project record from 7 October 2026 lists two Apple concerns: the advertising answer in the age-rating questionnaire and the ad experience. Apple reviewed version 1.0.2, build 2. This account is based on the project’s review record.

What to check

Under 2.3.6, the record says advertising had been marked “No”. We changed it to “Yes”, saved it and reopened the form to check. Compare the questionnaire with the final build’s actual behaviour rather than filling it out from memory.

Under 4.0, the reviewer said customers had to view ads before using the app. Local code review recorded no launch ad call and described ads after certain level completions. We sent a clarification and resubmitted the same build. The record does not say ads were removed or Apple approved the submission.

  • Compare age-rating answers with the final build.
  • Document the steps that trigger ads in a reproducible way.
  • Clearly explain differences between feedback and observed behaviour.

Confirmed outcome

The project record confirms the form correction, clarification and resubmission on 7 October. It does not confirm a later approval.

These checks can help reduce avoidable issues; they do not guarantee store approval.
