Make game states explicit
Claude is a model family; Claude Code edits project files and runs commands. A useful game task clarifies rules and saving independently of the interface. Write down which events move the game between starting, playing and completion.
Save a completed level safely
Example brief: Handle level completion in one function. If the same event arrives twice, advance progress only once. Save progress and use a safe starting state when a save is missing or unreadable. Keep the current format and check reopening.
Evaluate small rule examples first, then connect them to the real scene. If the save format must change, explain what happens to existing player data.

How to check the result
- Does processing completion twice change the final result?
- Does closing mid-level and reopening restore the intended state?
- Are missing or damaged saves handled without blocking the player?
Rule tests do not replace scene tests
A function may pass while a scene connects its signal twice. Try the actual transitions too. Compare suggested defaults with the game’s progress design and avoid silently discarding a save.

Frequently asked questions
Do automated tests replace player sessions?
No. They check consistency. Understanding, pacing and enjoyment still need observation with players.
