ECG Patch

Wearable Product R&D

R&D contribution

The ECG Patch is one of the wearable product projects in which Çağdaş Ekşi took an active R&D role. Developing a patch format means considering the device and its accompanying software experience within the same product framework.

For a compact product, the design challenge goes beyond making components smaller. Which steps does the user follow? How is device state communicated? How are responsibilities divided between hardware and software? These questions help clarify product scope. The engineering perspective here is to make the relationship between physical form and software experience explicit.

A product development perspective

This is one of three wearable ECG R&D projects in which Çağdaş Ekşi played an active role. The experience centres on bringing physical product development and software engineering together around a shared product goal.

Expertise spanning backend and server infrastructure, mobile apps, embedded software and hardware–software integration helps connect the different parts of a product. This account describes R&D participation and the approach to product development.
